5 Cancer Preventive Herbs

Thyme: This is said to be one of the oldest medicinal herb ever discovered. Initially people were not aware of its anti cancer qualities but soon with time and research it has become more evident. It has been observed that the essential oil present in thyme, commonly known as thymol has several cancer fighting properties.
Rosemary: The primary quality of this herb is to prevent the growth of the cancer producing cells. They contain an inbuilt fatty acid called terpene that helps to combat the cancer cells by killing them and also by resisting their further growth through reproduction. It also helps in better absorption of chemotherapy drugs which the body might, otherwise, resist.
Mint: This is another miraculous herb. The several chemical qualities in mint help in fighting the cancer cells. Its main function, in the battle against cancer, is to weaken the blood supply to the cancer producing cells inside the tumor. This automatically cuts down further rate of reproduction and results in death of those fatal cells.
Dill: The most important function of dill is to neutralize the effect of carcinogen or free radicals that can otherwise cause cancer. It contains a chemical called monoterpene that has such medicinal qualities.
Parsley: Its function is also quiet similar to that of thyme. Apigenine is an essential oil found in parsley. It helps to reduce the formation of blood vessels that can supply nutrition to the cancerous cells inside the growing tumor. Thus, parsley though lately discovered is treated as an essential herb for cancer treatment.
