Carrot or especially carrot juice contains beta-carotene in high level that can be very effective for your eye sight.
It helps to sharpen your eye sight and also reduces the chances of diseases like night blindness, cataract, etc. A purple pigment called rhodopsin helps you to see in the dark and its absence will result in night blindness. This pigment is generated from Vitamin A. Thus, in order to prevent night blindness it is important that you should increase your intake of carrots as they are rich in Vitamin A.
Carrots are also rich in antioxidants which make them extremely advantageous for the health. They can help you to control the growth of free radicals and therefore resist cancer. They are extremely effective in maintaining the health of your heart and thus, in controlling heart diseases.
You should consume carrots in order to regulate your metabolism rate. The fiber contained in carrots will assist in improving your bowel system. It will also help you to improve your digestive process. Carrots help in preventing gastric related diseases like ulcers, colitis, etc.
Carrot juice is also very good for the skin. Its major function is to control premature ageing, prevent wrinkles and age marks and improve the glow of your skin. Here again beta carotene helps in preventing cell degeneration and controls ageing and thus improves your skin condition.
