Natural Home Remedies for Arthritis

Arthritis is a painful disease. There are several reasons to this disease like, age, lack of proper nutrition, heredity, etc. There are different forms of arthritis like osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, etc. Osteoporosis happens due to lack of calcium supply in the body and it refers to weakening of the bones with time.
The main cause for rheumatoid arthritis is age. Gout happens due to accumulation of uric acid crystals in the joints. Today we will discuss about some remedies that will provide you relief if you are suffering from this painful disease.
Keep Moving: Movement is extremely essential to combat arthritis. The pain in your joints might resist you from moving around but do not loose heart. You should continue moving around and stay active otherwise there are chances of permanent disablement. Take a brisk walk in the lawn or in the garden every morning or evening in order to stay fit.
Exercise: Suffering from arthritis? Exercise is a wonderful remedy. Do keep yourself active by exercising regularly. Aerobic exercises like walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, etc. are very effective in this disease.
They will help in toning your muscles and will also facilitate in improving the blood circulation in your heart. Resistant exercises are also very good for people affected with arthritis. Thus, you should practice it at least two to three times a week. However, if the pain is too much do not over exercise, as that might have some side effects.
Over the counter medication: Avoid using the pain relieving creams that you often buy over the counter, too much, as they might break down your cartilages. There are many pain relieving medicines that you can often use like aspirin. These are non steroid and anti inflammatory drug and do not have any side effect.
Hot compresses: This is an effective remedy. Heat is a very good remedy for pain. Especially in case of osteoporosis heat provides great relief. You can use a hot and moist towel to create a hot compress. Otherwise some other remedies can be an electrical blanket or an electrical heating pad.
Cold compress: This provides a chilling effect and will give immense relief to the pain in your joint. It is most effective in pains related to gout. You can use an ice pack or cold water shower on the effected area to get the required relief.
