Precautions for Heat Stroke

Summer is the season for diseases. The scorching heat of the sun and the high humidity level makes life even tougher during summer. These weather conditions are the primary causes that results in heat or sun stroke. Sun stroke can also be fatal if not treated properly.
Thus, it is important that you should take good care of yourself in order to stay fit and prevent heat stoke or sunstroke.
The symptoms of this disease are as follows;
o There will be a rise in the body temperature i.e. high fever.
o There can be trouble in urination.
o Persistent vomiting and headache can take place too.
o Constant loose motion.
o Unconsciousness.
o Increased amount of sweating and palpitation.
These symptoms will signify the occurrence of sun stroke or heat stroke. As I have already mentioned that sunstroke can be fatal, therefore it is extremely essential that steps should be taken to prevent the occurrence of such health disorders. Here are some precautions that will help you prevent this disease:
• It is important that you should keep yourself sufficiently hydrated. Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water daily. Increase you intake of other liquid items like fruit juices and milk.
• Avoid too much of aerated and fizzy drinks as they are not good for health during summer seasons.
• You should not stay in empty stomach for a long time.
• It is important that you should carry a bottle of water with you daily when you go out of your house during summer.
• Eat lots of fresh fruits as this will help in increasing the water content of your body.
• Always carry an umbrella and a pair of sunglasses when you go out in the sun.
• If you are not staying in air conditioned area, than make sure that you stay in an area that is well ventilated. There should be enough doors and windows to let the inflow of air in order to prevent suffocation.
• Wear loose fitted, light colored and preferably cotton clothes as tight fitted clothes will restrict proper air flow and will make you feel suffocated.
Thus, you see that the above steps will help you stay away from a fatal disease. Thus, as you already know that prevention is better than cure, go ahead and apply the above mentioned steps to stay fit and fine during summer.
