Brachy radiation therapy works according to stage of breast cancer. This type of radiation can be related to internal radiation. It helps to destroy the cancer cells in case of breast cancer. But, this process may be used in the initial stages of breast cancer treatment.

This works on the basis on internal placing. In this case, the radio active beam is placed near the breast tissues. This process directly helps to destroy the cancer cells in case of breast cancer. But, this process isn’t suitable to every body type. This process is mainly used in terms of individual body type depending on breast cancer.

External radiation in case of breast cancer is used in case of external beam process. In this case, the beam is directed towards breast cancer cells in the breast area. But, this works on specific area of radiation. Once the area of radiation is decided, the beam is directly applied to that particular area.

In this case, even scanning is used to locate the exact area of radiation. Once the particular area is detected, the process of radiation becomes much easier. This is also directed in case of varied stages of breast cancer. Depending on the stage, the process is decided.
