You should also take special care in swelling of your breasts during and after the process of delivery. It’s important to keep your breasts moisturized after your delivery to prevent from dryness.

Here are some tips you can keep in mind for breast care after delivery:

Many a times, there may be swelling related to your breasts after breast feeding. You can reduce the swelling by application of ice packs in that particular area. Ice packs help to reduce your swelling in breasts and milk glands.

You can also opt for hot packs for your breast care after delivery. This also depends on particular condition of your breasts. You can opt for alternative treatment for your breasts in order to reduce your swelling. You can first apply ice pack and then apply hot packs in that particular area.

It’s very important to keep your nipple area dry after breast feeding. There can be number of infections, if you don’t keep your nipple area dry. After the process of your breast feeding, dry your nipple area with a piece of cloth. Don’t wash your nipples with soap.

You can use a medicated soap for this purpose. Try to use a water and medicated soap for your breast area. There may be cracks in your nipple area due to dryness. Try and apply some olive oil to that particular area. You can keep it for some time and rinse it off with water.

You can also moisturize your breast area with the help of herbal creams. They are safe to use and they have no side implication on your breast area. You can use these creams as a form of daily application on your breast area. This is very effective method for your breast area after delivery.
