Increase in cholesterol level, is a major cause of heart attack. Avoid having fried and junk food at first place. Fried food have maximum amount of calories in them. In stead, you can opt for baking or grilling. It helps to lower your cholesterol. Include foods which are high in fiber in your daily diet plan. Foods like muesli and cereals helps to lower the cholesterol level of the body.
Cut down on all the saturated fats in your daily diet. Replace your whole milk with skimmed milk. You can also substitute sugar with low calorie sugar. In case of lowering cholesterol level, opt for margarine instead of butter. Margarine is a good option in case of lowering cholesterol level in your body.
In your daily diet, stop using regular vegetable oil. In stead select olive oil in case of cooking. Olive oil has zero percent cholesterol. It helps to lower the cholesterol level in body. Cut down on alcohol intake in case of high cholesterol level. Alcohol is bad in case of high level of cholesterol. However, red wine can be taken on occasional basis. It has no effect on your cholesterol level of body. Walking as a form of exercise is also effective in lowering your cholesterol level.
